WHY USE IT
Randomness you can use immediately
Not all “random” is equal. Many quick scripts use Math.random(), which is predictable enough to be dangerous for passwords. This generator uses your browser’s cryptographic random number generator, the same source used to create encryption keys.

HOW TO USE IT
Random Password Generator in three steps
1
Choose your settings
Pick a length and the character types the site accepts. Presets for 12, 16, 20 and 32 characters are one click away.
2
Generate as many as you need
Press Space or Enter for a new password, or use “Generate 10” to create a whole batch at once.
3
Copy and save it
Click the password or the Copy button, then paste it straight into your password manager and the sign-up form.
What makes a password truly random
A random password generator is only as good as its source of randomness. Ordinary pseudo-random functions are designed for speed and games, and their output can sometimes be predicted. A cryptographically secure generator is designed so that no one can predict the next value, even after seeing earlier ones.
This tool calls crypto.getRandomValues() in your browser, which draws on the operating system’s secure entropy source.
No bias, no patterns
Turning a random number into a character can quietly introduce bias: some characters end up slightly more likely than others. The generator uses rejection sampling, discarding values that would cause bias, so every character in your pool has exactly the same chance of being picked.
After guaranteeing one character from each set you enable, the result is shuffled with a secure Fisher–Yates shuffle so those guaranteed characters do not sit in predictable positions.
When to use bulk generation
“Generate 10” is handy when you are setting up several accounts or devices at once.
Onboarding new team accounts or test users.
Rotating credentials after a security incident.
Creating initial passwords for routers, NAS boxes or IoT devices.

Pick the right generator for the job
Use a unique secret for every account and store it in a reputable password manager.
The generator uses the browser’s Web Crypto API with rejection sampling, which gives uniformly distributed, unpredictable characters suitable for security use.
Is Math.random() used anywhere?
No. Every character and every shuffle step comes from crypto.getRandomValues().
Can I generate several passwords?
Yes. Use “Generate 10” for a local batch, copy any row, or download them all as a .txt file.
Can two people get the same password?
With a 16-character password from the full character set there are about 10^31 possibilities, so a collision is practically impossible.
Do random passwords work on every site?
Most sites accept them. If one rejects certain symbols, edit the symbol set or exclude those characters and generate again.
Is the tool free?
Yes. There is no account, no limit and no cost.
Ready for a password you can trust?
It takes one click, and it never leaves your browser.
